Friday morning Canada and the European Union revealed the signing of a long fought for trade agreement that the Canadian government promises will eliminate tariffs and boost the economy. The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, CETA, is said to be the largest trade agreement since the North American Free Trade Agreement, NAFTA. Critics warn that the new agreement will carry many of the flaws of the NAFTA including investor arbitrators that can force sovereign nations to submit to international decisions.
